Everything you need to know before sending us a project.
No. Technical, medical, and patent projects are assigned to translators who hold or held professional qualifications in the relevant field. Our engineering translators have engineering backgrounds. Medical translators have life sciences or clinical training. Patent translators have either a legal or patent attorney background. We do not use generalists for specialist content.
For every new client, we build a terminology reference from your existing materials, style guides, and preferred usage. For ongoing clients, we maintain and update this reference with every project. The glossary is delivered to you at project handover and is updated quarterly for retainer clients.
The Fachmann package suits businesses with a recurring need for specialist translation across two or three language pairs, typically in one domain. It works well for manufacturers filing regulatory documentation in multiple EU markets, or law firms managing ongoing IP portfolios. The included project call helps scope the terminology framework.
A sworn German translation includes the translated document, a stamped cover sheet signed by a translator who is publicly sworn in under German law, and a declaration of accuracy. It is accepted by German courts, embassies, universities, and public administration. Apostille is available as an add-on for international use.
MTPE is priced per 1,000 words at the light or full post-editing standard. Light post-editing (LPE) corrects major errors for content where MT output is acceptable with light correction. Full post-editing (FPE) brings the output to human translation quality. We quote both options and recommend based on the intended use of the final text.
Our Umsatzsteuer-Identifikationsnummer is DE312845967. German clients receive invoices with 19% MwSt applied. EU clients with a valid VAT number use the Steuerschuldnerschaft des Leistungsempfangers (reverse charge). Non-EU clients are not subject to German MwSt.
Our primary working pairs are DE-EN, EN-DE, and DE/EN into French, Italian, Spanish, Polish, and Chinese. For other language pairs, we confirm availability before quoting. All work is handled in-house or by vetted specialist partners under our QA process.
You receive a confirmation email immediately. We send your project briefing form within one business day. Once you return it, we confirm your translator assignment, terminology reference, and exact delivery date. If you need to discuss the scope before paying, contact us first.
