What a QA review covers
A localization QA review assesses an existing translation against the source text for accuracy, terminology consistency, style compliance, formatting, and language quality. We use the MQM (Multidimensional Quality Metrics) framework or a custom error taxonomy agreed at briefing.
The output is a marked-up bilingual file showing each error with its classification and a corrected version, plus a summary QA report showing error rates by category and severity. You receive both the report and the corrected translation files.
When QA review is the right choice
QA review makes sense when you have existing translations that will be reused, when you are switching translation suppliers and need to establish a quality baseline, or when you need an independent assessment of translations produced internally or by a third party. It is significantly more cost-effective than a full retranslation for content that is mostly acceptable.

We use QA tools as part of the review process, but the primary review is human. Automated tools catch formatting and consistency errors effectively; linguistic accuracy and terminology correctness require human judgment.
